Fuse Network’s Rock and Roll Acid Test Open.
Our friends at TLC brought us on board to concept and execute several spots featuring several Kodak products and Paige Davis. This is one of them featuring the M1030 Digital Frame. And, featuring our good friend Josh Joplin’s music.
TLC came to BARK-BARK for concepts and execution of several spots featuring Ziploc Bags in everyday life. You gotta be pretty smooth to key a Ziploc… I pat ourselves on the back for that one.
We delivered concept and execution of this campaign for KFC. The marriage of poultry and Law and Order was an interesting match, but I think we pulled it off with style. In fact, it was featured at Promax/BDA in the “Best Practices” for Integrated Marketing. Buh-Buh.
Umbrella Spot
Nickelodeon needed a sweeps spot for their client Hasbro and the launch of Island Princess Barbie product. We shot greenscreen on our stage to deliver the “stepped-effect” they were looking for. Thanks to some 3D and 2D composite, and lots and lots and lots of sparkles, we delivered the kind of beach vacation only Barbie could imagine.
After working with them through an agency, our good friends at G4 asked us directly to take a stab at generating buzz around their multi-platform identity launch… Multiplex. Our pitch was that G4 allowed it’s consumers to connect with their devices in a richer, more immediate way because of what G4 offered anytime/anywhere. Through an intensively technical shoot and post, we delivered a seamless message that G4’s multiplex can truly “transform” your everyday life. PS- this was before the Transformers movie came out.
Part of the initial consumer launch of Cartoon Network’s Boomerang, which BT oversaw, we tried to think of a way to see classic characters in a modern way. This worked pretty well.
Again, As part of the multi-platform launch of the MTVN channel, Logo, and as a key affiliate piece, we created a 3 minute live action and flash animation short film to distribute virally via the web. Not only was this a wildly successful viral video, this piece received the single highest award for interstitial television, The Promax/BDA Gold Award.
The band fell in love with adam’s style from seeing his previous work. They wanted to speak about mass consumerism and the gender roles that follow suit. Images of war, terrorism and the games we as american play with ourselves to deny the truth are explored through live-action 35 and complex stop-motion animation and composites. We dare you to forget what you see.
Nick Jr. was looking to give parents a way to integrate a spanish curriculum into everyday activities, without seeming didactic or daunting. Using the Dora and Diego properties, we developed and shot instructional vignettes that parents could look to for ideas.
Noggin had an idea–to launch an online service that would allow kids to play educational games and activities that would take them along a curriculum patch, and provide parents with a great, easy way to monitor their progress/needs. mynoggin.com They turned to us to position and launch this site for consumers. Francine directed this great spot, which still cracks me up.
PBS Kid’s Sprout, and their client, Hasbro, wanted to connect parent’s memories of themselves as preschoolers, and the games they played, with their kids’ experiences playing. we also wanted to encourage parents to take the time to play with their kids. Francine directed these spots, a great mix of 8mm and 16mm.
PBS Kid’s Sprout had a great idea to really connect preschoolers to their own environment as they learn time-of-day. Marc directed these beautiful close-ups of all the parts of a preschool house that make the noises that set time-of-day.
Nickelodeon came to us to bring Zizzle’ s Spotz Maker to their audience for the holiday season. We recreated the spotz in 3D and spent a day bopping around a girl’s bedroom and greenscreen in one the most fun shoot days we’ve ever experienced. Let’s just say that we all got in touch with our inner teen girl… jumped on a trampoline and everything.
Through the agency Hothouse, we were asked to make some affiliate noise to connect the G4 gamer to broadband services. Our pitch was to show the results on some favorite archetypal heros of gaming, who’s players didn’t have broadband. Adam Mortimer directed this spot, which still cracks us up… and really does the work of messaging to the demo.
PBS Kids’ Sprout tapped our team to create branded vignettes for their client, Kimberly Clark. Francine directed these spots, which focus on the sweet little moments that happen everyday when you’re a preschool parent. And, they are really sweet.
We worked with famous fashion photographer Ellen Von Unwerth to shoot these commercials for Cartoon Network. The goal was to show how hip and appealing their Powerpuff Girl branded merchandise can be… and it really succeeded. Right?
OK. The idea was simple, but brilliant I think. At Nick, we wanted to really build buzz about the launch of Drake and Josh (the first new live action show for Nick in a long while.)So, we took the show’s theme song and shot a music video we could air run-of-schedule. The tweens went bananas and the show was the highest-rated show launch for Nick, ever.Special shout-out to my producer at Nick, Greg– who really put so much into this and to our director Joey. And to the video techs on-set in LA who spent two days rigging our screens and cameras to make this work in the time frame of our actual shooting. And, of course, to Niels, who is just the coolest human being ever… which obviously makes for the greatest boss.
